President- Larry Leach
During his tenure with the community, Larry helped start and continues on the committee for the Crossroads Multicultural Festival, which is now planning for it's 8th year and represented the association on the Community collaborative and at NE community association meetings, learning from other communities that what we do in Crossroads is pretty special. He encourages everyone to get involved in their community, whether with the association, our user groups or our area schools. Larry has been 1st VP and publicity director in the past and worked actively with the preschool when his son attended. He has been an active contributor to our newsletter, writing articles on our community and helps lead our social media on Facebook and Twitter.
Larry is very active volunteering in our community outside the association, as Chair of Cornerstone Youth Centre (in our community), Chair of The Association of Responsive Trusteeship in Calgary Schools, Board Member at Phoenix Foundation Community School, President Of Calgary Eagles Soccer and Past President of Deerfoot Youth Soccer Club. He is employed as a Fund Development and Business Manager with Phoenix Education Foundation which has added a Food Forest and became the first K-12 school in Calgary to have Beehives. He brings a passion for communication and encourages everyone to “Shout it from the Rooftops” and share the Crossroads Story, our story. He also blogs on his own Small Business Marketing and Advertising Blog and on education issues with ARTICS (knowyourtrustee.com). In 2013, Larry was proud to receive the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for community service. Larry, his wife and son live in the Crossroads Community in Calgary.

Having lived in Crossroads for four years, Kim is excited to be getting involved with some of the Community Association committees and as Secretary on the Executive Board of Directors. Now primarily staying home with her toddler, she spends a lot of time in our community and enjoys the walkable access to parks and businesses - and especially to delicious pho!
